Prunus persica ‘Vaes Oogst’ is an early ripening peach variety valued for its reliable garden performance and sweet, juicy fruit. This cultivar is appreciated in temperate regions for producing attractive peaches with pale skin, a red blush, and tender white flesh.

This peach tree grows as a semi dwarf fruit tree, remaining more compact and manageable than traditional full-sized orchard peaches. The reduced size is achieved through grafting onto a slow-growing rootstock, a technique widely used in professional orchards to regulate tree height while encouraging earlier and reliable fruit production. The result is a tree that is easier to prune, maintain, and harvest while still producing generous yields.

In spring, the tree produces abundant pink blossoms that bring early colour to the garden and attract bees and other pollinators. These flowers mark the beginning of the fruiting season.

During summer, the blossoms develop into juicy peaches with white flesh and a sweet aromatic flavour. In favourable seasons the fruit can ripen from mid to late summer, often earlier than many other peach varieties.

‘Vaes Oogst’ is self-fertile, meaning it can set fruit independently without requiring a second peach tree nearby, although the presence of other peach trees may help increase overall yields.
