Pompadour® is a refined and intensely fragrant rose created by Georges Delbard, combining elegance, abundant flowering, and the timeless charm of old-fashioned blooms. Presented to the public in 2015, its name evokes the Marquise de Pompadour, symbol of grace and sophistication at the court of Versailles.
This hybrid tea rose forms a healthy, well-balanced bush with glossy dark green foliage and reaches 80 to 100 cm in height, making it ideal for borders, rose beds, or large containers.
Its magnificent flowers are very double, composed of more than 100 delicately layered petals. Shaped like antique quartered roses, they display a vivid, luminous pink that captures the light beautifully.
The fragrance is intense and highly refined. It opens with fresh notes of mandarin and yellow-green lemon, followed by a floral heart of rose and violet. The base reveals soft fruity nuances of nectarine and yellow peach, creating a rich and elegant perfume.
Pompadour® is repeat flowering, blooming generously from May until the first frosts. Hardy down to -20°C, it thrives in full sun and adapts well to a wide range of garden soils.
This rose also belongs to the Dames de France collection, alongside Dames de Chenonceau® and Comtesse de Ségur®.
Supplied as strong 1-year-old plants in 5L containers.
